The AMP Research PowerStep™ Smart Series features heavy-duty alloy construction consisting of anodized cast-aluminum steps, hinges, and corrosion-resistant stainless steel hinge pins. AMP Research treats both step surfaces with a military-grade PTFE coating, further guarding against corrosion and unsightly wear for years of reliable service.
These running boards significantly improve accessibility with their full-length design, oversized 6-inch wide step surface, integrated LED courtesy lights, and over a foot of drop from the door sill plate on most applications! Like all products in AMP Research's PowerStep™ running board lineup, the PowerStep™ Smart Series integrates into your vehicle's electrical system, automatically deploying when you or a passenger opens a door and retracting once the door is closed. However, the Smart Series features AMP Research's all-new smartphone integration, allowing you to manually override the steps from the convenience of your iOS or Android smart device! If you need to deploy the steps for cleaning or lock the steps in their retracted position while hitting the trail, you can open up the app and command the steps to do so in seconds!
PowerStep Smart Series automatically deploy when the door opens and will retract after a 3 second delay when the door closes. The Smart Series also features an app controlled override switch for full control from your smartphone!
AMP Research Smart Series PowerStep Running Boards drop much lower than other steps. Most stationary running boards rest 1-2 inches below the body and are often still too far from the ground to be convenient for many passengers.
The PowerStep Smart Series Running Boards tuck under the vehicle when retracted, providing amazing ground clearance while driving, and the functionality of a perfectly placed step when deployed.

INTEGRATED LED LIGHTING
All PowerSteps Include two pair of LED lights to illuminate the running board and ground below to maximize safety when entering and exiting your vehicle. The lighting will activate when the steps deploy and will shut off when the steps are retracted!
600 LB LOAD CAPACITY
From the brackets to the boards, each PowerStep Smart Series Running Board features a 600 LB load capacity - that is twice the weight capacity as most other steps!
